When Rajender's vehicle was stopped on its way from Hyderabad to Warangal, at the Pembarthi police checkpost, he reportedly told the police that he is an "MLA", Jangoan circle inspector P Narsimha Rao said.
The constable said that everybody should stop the vehicle for checking, when the angry MLA chided the constable, who rang-up the Superintendent of Police (Rural) and explained the situation to him.
The SP asked the Jangoan circle inspector to file a case against the MLA and accordingly, a case was filed against the MLA as per Section 353 of the Indian Penal Code.
