CBI getting support from Odisha: SIT Official

The CBI which has probing into the multi-crore chitfund scam in Odisha today said the agency got a lot of support from the state government and expects similar cooperation from the administration in future too.
"The agency has got a lot of support from the Odisha government and hope to get more in coming days," S Bagchi, DIG of CBI's Special Investigation Team (SIT) told reporters here.
Bagchi, who arrived here to review the agency's probe into the chit fund scam in the state, however, skirted questions on the interrogation of two IPS officers for their alleged link with a middleman of a ponzi company.

CBI sources said Bagchi verified the agency's charge sheet in connection with Artha Tatwa scam which will be submitted in the court soon. His visit at this juncture holds much importance.
The agency has so far filed a charge sheet against Green Ray India, which has allegedly duped thousands of depositors of crores of rupees.
The CBI has been assigned investigation into the 44 ponzi firms which allegedly duped lakhs of investors in the state.
