The CBSE, which conducted the test, said in a statement that the exam was conducted successfully.
It said 6,53,156 candidates had registered for the exam.
The CBSE said it had deployed 851 Centre Superintendents, 1824 Centre Observers, and 527 representatives for the smooth conduct of the examination.
"The examination was conducted in time and no untoward incident was reported. The question papers were reported by students to be set as per the syllabus prescribed and was well balanced," the statement said.
Chairman CBSE R K Chaturvedi also visited various centres.
