Addressing farmers at Avara village of Malpura tehsil in Tonk district, 100 km from here, Jat said in view of heavy loss of rabi crop, the Central government was providing a better compensation to farmers than previous times.
Jat directed the district officials to provide the required compensation to those who suffered heavy crop loss at 33 per cent and above.
Centre was also considering linking of rivers country wide, and was discussing the issue with state government, an official release quoting him said here.
The Raje government in Rajasthan was also keenly giving the best compensation to farmers, and their live stock which perished in untimely rains and hailstorm, he said.
