Providing a state-wise breakup, they claimed to have garnered the support of 1214 volunteers in Delhi, 775 from Uttar Pradesh, 355 from Bihar, 405 from Haryana and 220 from Maharashtra.
"Our initial expectation was to have a meeting with volunteers from across the country which would not exceed 800. But in the last few days the response of volunteers for the meeting has been so overwhelming that we are being forced to change the venue," a statement from the rebel camp said.
Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan have also released a pre-invite for the event saying the dialogue, 'Swaraj Samwad', involves "restarting" the journey of alternative politics so as to remain true to the "original spirit" of the movement.
Bhushan and Yadav were ousted from the party's top panels last month.
