The Union Home Ministry has made some queries about the West Bengal Protection of Interest of Depositors in Financial Establishments Bill, 2013, sent for Presidential assent in early May by the state government.
"The Home Ministry has made one or two queries on the Bill to the state government through the Governor," a Raj Bhavan source said.
The queries were not disclosed.
The state assembly had on April 30 passed the Bill formulated by the Mamata Banerjee government following the Saradha chitfund scam.
