Chahal, Chand take Reliance 1 into semis

India's 2012 U19 World Cup winning captain Unmukt Chand and current India T20I spinner Yuzvendra Chahal starred in Reliance 1's four-wicket win over Indian Oil in the quarter-final of the 13th DY Patil T20 Cup.
Reliance 1 will now play BPCL in the semi-final on Sunday. The other semi-final, also on Sunday, will be between D Y Patil 'A' and D Y Patil 'B', a media release issued here said.
At the University Ground in neighbouring Navi Mumbai, Chand (73 off 49 balls, 7x4, 3x6) starred in a stiff chase of Indian Oil's target of 176-6. He held the innings together as Reliance 1 chased down the target with seven balls to spare. For Indian Oil, Chand's 2012 U19 CWC teammate Smit Patel (58 off 38 balls, 4x4, 4x6) was the top-scorer. Chahal, playing for Reliance 1, was the most effective bowler with figures of 3-28.
Later, BPCL came through with a thrilling five-wicket win over CAG at the University Ground. Earlier in the morning Shivam Dubey (56 not out) yet again starred in a four-wicket win for DY Patil 'A' over Tata Sports Club in the quarter-final at the DY Patil Stadium.
Then, DY Patil 'B' trounced State Bank of Travancore with a comprehensive nine-wicket victory also at the Stadium.
The semi-finals and final of the tournament on Sunday will be telecast live on DD Sports.

At University Ground: Indian Oil 176-6 in 20 overs (Smit Patel 58, Ravikant Shukla 42; Yuzvendra Chahal 3-28, Pawan Negi 1-27) lost to Reliance 1 179-6 in 18.5 overs (Unmukt Chand 73, Nikhil Naik 27 n.O.)-by four wickets.
At DY Patil Stadium: Tata Sports Club 162-6 in 20 overs (Sachin Yadav 50, Sujit Nayak 33; Aniket Chaudhary 2-32) lost to DY Patil 'A' 168-6 in 19 overs (Shivam Dubey 56 n.O.; Omar Nazir 2-15, Aditya Dhumal 2-29)-by four wickets.
At DY Patil Stadium: State Bank of Travancore 91 in 17.4 overs (Manisankar Murasingh 35; Siddharth Chitnis 3-14) lost to DY Patil 'B' 95-1 in 10.2 overs (Kevin Almeida 51 n.O., Aman Khan 26 n.O.)-by nine wickets.
At University Ground: CAG 140-7 in 20 overs (Ankit Sharma 31, Gurindar Singh 25 n.O.; Pragyan Ojha 2-14, Dhanraj Sharma 2-25, Rishi Arothe 2-35) lost to BPCL 141-5 in 19.3 overs (Rahul Tripathi 53 n.O., Bhavin Thakkar 35; Imtiyaz Ahmed 1-17)-by five wickets.
