The two-day rally, which is run on Time, Speed and Distance format, is dedicated to late M K Chander, who had represented famous teams like TVS Suzuki and MRF.
This year's event covers a distance of approximately 120km and the maximum average speed will be only 45km per hour and the minimum as low as 15kmph through crowded areas, said J Prithviraj, President of Coimbatore Auto Sports Club, told reporters here today.
Stating that about 40 to 50 teams are expected to take part in the four category event, including separate class for All Ladies, Prithviraj said there will be secret check points en route to monitor the speeds and every second was liable for penalty whether they are running late or early.
