Talking to reporters here, Chavan said, "Government is favouring the district banks which have BJP members or those who are close to the party as directors."
On Chief Minister's harsh criticism of opposition Congress and NCP which recently took out 'Sangharsh Yatra' campaign to demand farm loan waiver, Chavan said, "He can abuse us, but he should take decisions for the welfare of farmers and make them debt-free."
The tur dal producer farmers were facing a crisis as there was a record production but government didn't make proper arrangements for procurement, the Congress leader said.
The former Chief Minister also alleged that provisions of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority Act were diluted to favour builders.
