Chief Minister Raman Singh, who also holds Finance department, made important announcements highlighting the features of the third supplementary demands during discussions on the floor of the House.
The main budget for the current fiscal year was of nearly Rs 57,000 crore, but after the presentation of third supplementary budget of Rs 3,82,89,84,301 crore, the total budgetary allocations for year 2014-15 stands to nearly Rs 60,170 crore, he said.
"Ultra modern technology will be deployed to strengthen anti-naxal operations and to make it more effective. Accordingly, Nandini air strip situated near Bhilai Nagar will be developed for operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)," Singh said, adding that in terms of fiscal discipline the financial management of state government is far better than other states.
A provision of Rs 1 crore has been made for Government Medical College which was started in Rajnandgaon previous year, he said.
The state government has planned to equip Raipur, Bilaspur, Jagdalpur, Raigarh and Rajnandgaon medical colleges with treatment facilities for the mentally-ill patients and 45 posts will be created as per the requirement, apart from generating 96 posts to start Psychiatry Department in district hospitals, he added.
To overcome the problem of adulteration, 290 posts have been created under Food and Medicine Administration to ensure regular inspection of organisations concerned, the CM said.
