"A notification in this connection has been issued by Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board," an official said here today.
The scheme would give financial assistance to women construction workers and provide them training for stitching and tailoring works for making them self-reliant, he said.
Under the scheme, a SHG will be constituted with ten registered women labourers, which will be provided training by the Board, he said. More such SHGs will be formed later.
All women construction labourers, who have benefited from Mukhyamantri Silai Machine Sahayata Yojna, under which free stitching machines are being provided, will also be eligible for the scheme, he said.
