Red chilli and turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 8,500-13,000 and Rs 7,600-12,300 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said buying by stockists and pick-up in export demand pushed up chilli and turmeric prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
Following are today's quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 14,500-19,500, black pepper (per kg) 750-950, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,300-1,415 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,450-1,600.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 680-730, cardamom (colour robin) 660-720, cardamom bold 710-730, cardamom extra (bold) 880-930 and cloves (kg) 950-1,000.
