Based on a complaint filed by the woman constable, an offence was registered against Swastik Nagar resident Kuldeep Parmar (around 27 years of age) last evening, Central Kotwali police station in-charge Manju Yadav said.
Parmar, who works as a DTH cable technician, had once come to the residence of the victim to install a cable TV equipment, Yadav said.
Later, the two became friends and Parmar, while promising the woman to marry her, had a live-in relationship with her for three years.
However, he later refused to marry her, the police official said.
Further investigation in the matter was on, police said adding that the accused has not been arrested so far.
