JD(U), the ruling party in Bihar, along with the RJD will be contesting on 10 seats in the assembly by-elections in the state together.
"This is the NDA effect which has forced two enemies to act like friends. The Lok Sabha results have forced them to fight for their existence," LJP MP Chirag Paswan said outside Parliament.
The state will witness by-polls in the constituencies of Narkatiaganj, Chapra, Rajnagar, Mohiuddinnagar, Hajipur, Bhagalpur, Parbatta, Mohania and Banka.
While LJP won six seats, both JD(U) and RJD fared poorly in the Lok Sabha elections with two and four seats respectively.
When pointed out that both parties want to fight communalism together, Chirag said "They fought the Lok Sabha elections in the name of fighting communal forces. But today communalism is not an issue. People have given their mandate on the issue.
