Cigital acquires SaaS-based security testing firm iViZ

Software security services provider Cigital will acquire iViZ Security, a cloud-based web and mobile application security testing services firm for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in 2006 by former IITians, iViZ Security is a 60-people product company. The IDG Ventures funded-firm recorded a revenue growth of 57 per cent last year.
The firm built the world's first automated and on-demand testing product allowing companies to use a self-serve ethical hacking platform on the cloud.
"Our vision is to help organisations stay one step ahead of hackers by making penetration testing scalable and affordable through product innovations," iViZ CEO Bikash Barai said.

Quikr partners Microsoft to launch app on Windows platform * Online classifieds firm Quikr today joined hands with Microsoft to launch its app on the Windows Phone Store.
The app is aimed at reaching out to a wider audience of smartphone users offering them the convenience of trading online, it said in a statement.
It automatically detects users' location to show him ads from his city. Users can also browse or post ads for free using the app on their Windows smartphone.
"With over 1 crore listings on our platform, the Quikr app can now be accessed by Windows Phone users who can buy, sell or rent with greater convenience, ease and simplicity," Quikr founder and CEO Pranay Chulet said.

Tata Sky selects Genesys' customer experience platform * Direct-to-Home (DTH) major Tata Sky has partnered Genesys to deploy its Customer Experience Platform to enhance service delivery to its 13.5 million subscribers.
The platform provides greater efficiencies in Tata Sky's contact centre operations and provides subscribers with personalised self-service applications, Genesys said in a statement.
This reduces the time that customers spend on unwanted menu options and helps transform the overall customer experience, it added.
