Nathuram, the Ringas CO, had allegedly demanded the bribe from one Narayan Singh for closing a case against him.
Upon Singh's complaint, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths laid a trap and caught Nathuram as he received the bribe from the middleman, one Ramesh Agrawal, who had collected the money from Singh at a hotel today.
Both the officer and the middleman have been arrested.
The CO, meanwhile, has been admitted to hospital after he complained of high blood pressure and chest pain following his arrest, an ACB official said.
