The incident occurred this morning when Shambhavi jumped from the roof of an adjacent tower and became unconscious, police said quoting her father G K Rai, who lives at a ground floor flat in Pancholi apartment at Sector 61.
Shambhavi had to appear for her exams later in the day today, police said, adding that she had gone to kitchen to make tea. Her father noticed that she was not in the house and after some time they heard loud sound of some object falling outside.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead, they said, adding that no suicide note was recovered yet. Police was investigating the cause of her death, DySP Anup Singh said.
