CM Raje slams Sonia's visit to rain-hit Kota

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today dubbed Congress president Sonia Gandhi's visit to rain-hit Kota to meet farmers as 'a dramatic show' and said that she could have raised the issue in the Parliament if she was worried about their condition.
Raje in a statement alleged that the Congress was trying to give a political colour to the calamity.
The reality of the visit was that she spoke to the farmers for a few seconds and it appeared that she was in a hurry, which is why she did not go to farms, she said.
BJP MPs raised the issue in the Parliament but Congress did not speak a single word for the farmers of the state which shows its lack of interest in the matter.

"The state forwarded report to the Centre at the earliest and as a result of it, Union Minister of state for agriculture visited Rajasthan to assess the situation," she said.
Meanwhile, the CM today discussed the situation of agriculture in the state, which has suffered due to unseasonal rainfall, with Union Minister of State for Agriculture Mohanbhai Kundariya.
The meeting took place in the assembly building where Raje and Kundariya discussed the relief work that could be provided to the farmers for their losses, according to a release.
Earlier in the day, Kundariya visited villages in Ajmer and took a review from the affected farmers.
