The members of the Coimbatore Bikers Club will cover nearly 10,000 kms and meet as many people from all walks of life and educate them on water conservation at home, office, schools, business place, and forest, Karthik, who leads the team, told reporters here.
Riding Royal Enfield bikes during the long journey, the members wanted sustainable policies for worldwide water management, so as to create awareness of water-related problems, motivate commitment at the highest level for their solution, Karthik said.
The actual journey will begin from Kanyakumari, which will cover every rural panchayat village, schools, educational institutions, primary health centres, highways and important public gathering places, he said.
Sandeep Rajan, Kaisan and Stephen Ajay will be accompanying Karthik in the K2K trip.
