The minimum plummeted to 2.9 deg C, four degrees below normal and a notch up from yesterday's 2.7 degrees, made life tough for people in the morning.
The maximum also witnessed a significant dip as it plummeted to 12.6 deg C, which is eight degrees below normal for this time of the season.
Icy winds blew over the capital throughout the day.
The Weather office has forecast similar weather conditions for tomorrow as well with the minimum and maximum temperature to remain at 3 deg C and 13 deg C respectively.
On Tuesday, the minimum had dipped to four deg C, the previous lowest for the season and the next day, the city witnessed the coldest day in 44 years when the maximum plummeted to 9.8 deg C.
