Cold wave sweeps Vidarbha region

The Vidarbha region of Maharashtra has been experiencing cold wave conditions for last couple of days with temperatures dipping to 6 degrees Celsius in some parts, MeT officials said today.
The region is likely to experience cold wave for sometime, they said.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre, Gondia was the coldest city in Vidarbha today with minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius.
Nagpur recorded a minimum temperature of 7.1 degrees Celsius, while Akola recorded 7.9 degrees Celsius. Other cities of Vidarbha also witnessed minimum temperatures in single digit.
Amravati recorded a minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees Celsius, Bramhapuri 9.8 degrees Celsius, Chandrapur 11 degrees Celsius, Wardha 8.5 degrees Celsius and Yavatmal 11 degrees Celsius.
