"The padyatra, which was scheduled to begin on November 27, will now start on November 29 from Pernem taluka by laying wreath at Martyrs' memorial," Congress Goa unit spokesman Trajano D'Mello told reporters.
He said the schedule of the fortnight-long yatra had to be postponed by two days due to the Bharat bandh call given by opposition parties against demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes.
"During the padyatra, the lies of the BJP-led government, the u-turns on issues like regional plan, casinos, 50,000 jobs creation, zero-level tolerance to corruption, minority commission, unemployment allowance and their sins of commission and omission will be exposed," he said.
"The yatra will culminate with a public meeting at Margao. Hundreds of workers will be walking and joining from different parts during the yatra covering 34 constituencies -- 15 in the North and 19 in the South," he said.
