Delhi Congress today submitted its 25-point charge sheet against BJP and AAP to Lieutenant Governor (LG) Najeeb Jung and requested him to ensure action on the charges within 15 days.
"The charge sheet was handed over to the LG today under the leadership of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Arvinder Singh. We've asked the LG to ensure quick action within 15 days, else we will gherao his residence," DPCC chief spokesperson Mukesh Sharma said here.
In its charge sheet, Congress alleged that both AAP and BJP were responsible for the present plight of the people of Delhi.
He said the Congress delegation had informed the LG that if power companies forced the consumers to increase the load capacity and if there was no reduction in the inflated power bills, then the residence of the LG would be gheraoed.
Congress sought action against the power companies for their "anti-people actions" and demanded that their licences be terminated.
Sharma said the Congress delegation also requested the LG to give priority to the regularisation of Home Guard jawans.
They alleged that due to collusion between BJP and AAP, these jawans were not given a five-year extension. The leaders said the law and order situation was not good in Delhi, and because of that there was an urgent need for the services of the Home Guards, he said.
Sharma said the delegation had requested the LG not to displace thousands of people involved in plastic business at Tikri Kalan, pointing out that over 20,000 people were making a living out of the trade there.
They also raised the issues of shortage of teachers in government schools and the ban on e-rickshaws in the capital.
Sharma said that the central government was not providing correct details to the courts. It is a question of survival for thousands of people and there's no reason to force a ban on e-rickshaw operators.
Sharma said, "The LG was informed about the deliberate BJP-isation of the administration in Delhi, and because of that, there was indiscipline in the administration, leading to widespread corruption.
