"Congress will emerge as a largest political force in the state and will be a crucial factor in the politics of the state in 2014 Assembly elections," state party chief prof Saif-uddin-Soz said, addressing a large public meeting at Hiranagar in district Kathua, today.
He said Congress is still in coalition in the state and for the elections in 2014, "all decisions would be taken by the party high command."
Regarding holding of elections to the Block Development Councils, Soz said he has discussed the issue of amendment to the State Panchayat Raj Act in the recent Co-ordination Committee meeting.
