"The role of Congress leaders in farmers' agitation in Madhya Pradesh has proved they have gained expertise in adding fuel to fire. They are simply politicising the issue," Singh said at a programme to mark completion of three years of NDA government.
While Narendra Modi government was working sincerely for speedy development of villages and welfare of the poor and the farmers, Congress was feeling frustrated because of growing popularity and success of BJP, he said.
Stating that people across the country were impressed with the performance of the BJP-led government, he said that Congress was making a vain attempt to tarnish NDA's image.
He asked people of all segments of the society to cooperate with the government in making various welfare schemes really people-oriented.
