"The Gujarat government should immediately implement the verdict of the Supreme Court upholding the appointment of Justice (retd) R A Mehta as Lokayukta," Vaghela told reporters here.
He also demanded tabling of CAG report on the floor of the Gujarat Assembly, saying that it would expose the "misdeeds" of Narendra Modi government.
Modhwadiya alleged that Modi government kept the post of Lokayukta vacant using "delaying tactics".
A five-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Altamas Kabir today did not find merit in the curative petition filed by the Modi government following dismissal of its review petition and appeal against the Gujarat High Court's decision holding Justice Mehta's appointment by Governor Kamla Beniwal valid.
