Constable saves woman from drowning

A Delhi Police constable saved a 55-year-old woman from drowning after she fell in Agra Canal adjacent to the picket on Badarpur side, police said today.
The constable, Rajesh, was about to leave his picket at Meethapur Chowk on August 6 as his duty hour was over. He got information that Devi Kumari has fallen in Agra Canal and he jumped into the canal to save her life, said K Karunakaran, DCP South West district.
After a search operation, assisted by Head constable Ram Gopal, he saved the life of the Badarpur resident, he added.
