"Rowdy sheets were opened against Nagireddy and 12 others today," Kurnool district SP A K E Ravikrishna told PTI over phone.
Nagireddy, who was arrested on November 1 in connection with the attack on some TDP councillors in Nandyal town of Kurnool district, is presently under judicial custody.
Nagireddy, along with his party workers, was booked on charges of attempt to murder and for instigating his followers to attack in connection with a scuffle that broke out between some councillors of TDP and YSRCP at Nandyal Municipal council hall on October 30, police had said earlier.
