Coriander falls on increased supply
Press Trust of India New Delhi In restricted activity, coriander fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on increased supplies from producing regions against weak demand.
Marketmen said increased supplies in the face of low demand mainly led to decline in coriander prices.
Coriander lost at Rs 100 at Rs 7,400-12,400 per quintal.
The following are today's quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 13,500-18,500, black pepper (per kg) 520-650, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,000-1,090 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,150-1,270.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 650-750, cardamom (colour robin) 600-700, cardamom bold 650-700, cardamom extra (bold) 800-900 and cloves (kg) 850-920.
