Couple shot dead while sleeping

A couple was today shot dead by six motorcycle-borne assailants in Malsil village in Sikrara area here, police said.
The incident occurred in the wee hours when Hriday Narain (68) and his wife Kanti Devi (62) were sleeping outside their house, they said, adding the victims died on the spot.
Police said they are probing the matter. However, no arrests have been made so far.
