"CPI-M cadre Mangal Hembram (48) died this morning at Burdwan Medical College and Hospital after sustaining injury in the clash last evening," Superintendent of Police Kunal Agarwal said.
The clash broke out when Trinamool Congress supporters attacked Hembram and other cadre of CPI-M at Kamarpara in Bhatar police station, police said.
Agarwal said that 11 Trinamool Congress supporters were arrested on the charge of murder, from the village.
The injured people have been admitted to Burdwan Medical College and Hospital.
