In the article titled 'God's own country or Godless Country' by M Surendra Nathan, a Mumabi-based advocate, it was stated that "for over 50 years of Communist activism in Kerala, its ideologies of violence, atheism and purported rationalism have reached every nook and corner of the state."
"There is nothing called collective consciousness of Godliness amongst the Kerala Hindus," it read.
The article criticised Chief Minister Oommen Chandy's stand that the state would seek legal action against Delhi police for raiding Kerala House canteen during a beef row.
In his reaction, CPI-M politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan said the article was a "declaration of war by Sanghparivar on the people of Kerala."
"It is a collection of lies and insulting the people of the state. It was an attempt to attack secular stand of Kerala people through concocted propaganda", he said.
CPI-M will be in the forefront to check any move to destroy the secular fabric of Kerala, he added.
