Criminal who escaped from hospital re-arrested

A notorious criminal, who escaped from a mental hospital while underoing treatment early this month, was nabbed today, police said.
Mohd Ahmed Fahauddin Qureshi was apprehended in a joint operation by the Commissioner's Task Force (West Zone) and SR Nagar Police from Tolichowki area here, a police release said this evening.
The 40-year-old, who faces over half a dozen criminal cases in the city, was sent to Chanchalguda Jail in connection with a case in October this year. He was admitted to the Mental Hospital at Erragadda in November due to ill-health, the release said.
On the intervening night of December 2 and 3, Qureshi, along with some other inmates escaped from the hospital by breaking the walls of the barrack by using oxygen cylinders, it said.
