Crocodile found dead on the banks of the Mahanadi river

A crocodile was found dead at the Khirwa-Luli Ghat on the banks of Mahanadi river today, about six kilometres away from the district headquarters, forest officials said.
The fully grown crocodile measuring about 11 feet was found dead in the submergence area of the Ban Sagar project on Mahanadi river, Conservator of Forests (CF) A S Alawa said.
No injury marks were found on the body, he said, adding that it was cremated after autopsy.
