One of the poachers was identified as 48 CRPF Battalion jawan K H Jiten Singh, deployed at Balipara in Assam's Goalpara district, and another B C Hari of Ukhrul district in Manipur, police said.
The duo, hailing from Manipur, were arrested last night from the house of Nizamuddin who along with another suspected poacher Salimuddin were also arrested yesterday on charge of killing several wild animals, including rhinos in KNP for the last three months, they said.
On the confessional statement of Nizamuddin, the jawan and Hari were taken into custody, the sources said.
Police interrogation of the four is on and investigation was on to ascertain whether the jawan was on leave or away without leave from his duty, police added.
