CRPF jawan commits suicide in Jammu

Gurmeet Singh-- jawan of the 166 Battalion of the CRPF was found hanging in the bathroom at the GMC complex in Jammu city around 0400 hours today, police said.

The jawan's leave was cancelled and he had been called back on duty following an inquiry into the loss of one INSAS rifle along with 5 magazines and 100 rounds from 166 Bn camp at Bakshi Nagar in Jammu.

CRPF had also suspended jawan D K Sahai for negligence in connection with the incident.
