Bijendra Singh and Amar Singh were arrested for the crime committed yesterday and the sugar-laden truck was recovered from them, SSP Onkar Singh said.
The two had allegedly hijacked the truck along Meerut-Hapur state highway and fled with the truck. The driver of the truck Yogendra Singh reported the matter to the police, based on which a raid was conducted and the two were caught, the SSP said.
Upon interrogation, the two revealed that they were posted as CRPF personnel in Delhi, he said, adding that further questioning was on.
