CRPF personnel fires at speeding car, one injured

One person was injured when CRPF personnel allegedly opened fire to stop a car which jumped a check point here this evening.
CRPF personnel stationed at Budshah Chowk in the heart of the city signalled a fast moving car to stop for checking but the driver of the vehicle ignored the signal and tried to sped away, officials said.
They said CRPF personnel allegedly opened fire injuring one person, who was rushed to a hospital.
Later, agitated over the incident, groups of youth from nearby Maisuma area, took to streets and indulged in stone pelting on the security personnel, they said.

Security personnel fired teargas shells to disperse the protesters.
Clashes in the area were still on when the last reports came in, the officials said.
