14 saints on way to attend parikarma yatra arrested

Fourteen seers from Haryana, who were on way to take part in the controversial 84 kosi parikrama yatra, were arrested here today.
The saints belonging to Rohtak and Bhivani were on way to take part in the parikrama yatra which was scheduled to start from Shahpur Dhanawa when they were arrested for defying the prohibitory orders in Paraspur police station area, District Magistrate Anjani Kumar Singh said.
The arrested seers were produced before a local court and sent to jail, the official added.
Meanwhile, VHP sources said that 11 others were also taken into custody but the administration has not confirmed it.
