The curfew, which was imposed in four police station areas in Bokaro on April 15, was today lifted as situation limped back to normalcy.
"Curfew was lifted at 5 pm," Deputy Commissioner R M Patre told reporters here.
A peace committee meeting was held in the morning and a peace march was taken out by people, including political leaders, after the curfew was revoked, a senior police officer said.
Twenty-five people had been arrested following the April 15 violence during Ram Navami procession at Shivandih that led to the imposition of curfew in areas under Balidih, Maraphari, Sector-12 area and Bokaro Steel City police stations.
