Cyclist killed in road accident

A cyclist was killed in a road accident today near Pari Chowk as when a speeding truck hit him, police said.
The accused truck driver has been arrested, they added.
The cyclist was identified as Chandan (28). He worked at a private company and lived in a rented room at Tugalpur. He was returning to his accommodation when the accident took place.
According to police officials, the truck driver tried to escape but people of the area nabbed him. The body has been sent for post-mortem, an official said.
