Cyient appoints two independent directors to its Board

Hyderabad-based engineering, network and operations solutions company Cyient has appointed two independent directors, Andrea Bierce and John Paterson, to its Board.
The induction further strengthens Cyient's (formerly Infotech Enterprises) diverse board, reflecting the global spirit of the company, the firm said, adding that the board members come from a range of industries, functions and backgrounds.
The company said Bierce has over three decades of industry and consulting experience.
She has worked with some of the world's largest financial institutions in the areas of governance, enterprise risk management, compliance and reporting, the company said.
Paterson brings with him 35-plus years of industry experience.

He retired recently as president of Rolls-Royce Marine and Industrial Power Systems.
Previously, Paterson has worked for the Swire Group for 25 years in a number of management positions across the US, the UK, Japan, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, it said.
The company's Founder and Executive Chairman B V R Mohan Reddy said, "Five out of our eleven directors are foreign nationals and bring true international perspective to the board consistent with the company's global outlook and approach.
