The logistics company is part of DB Schenker, the transport and logistics division of Deutsche Bahn AG in Germany.
"Oliver Bohm has assumed the position on August 1, 2015, and replaced Reiner Allgeier who is taking another appointment within the DB Schenker network," the company said in a statement.
It said Bohm has more than 27 years of experience as a business leader in numerous roles and has held various leadership positions with DB Schenker in the Asia Pacific region and globally.
The company said in his new assignment in India, Bohm will be responsible for the overall country management and growth of the Indian subsidiary of global logistics giant DB Schenker.
