The four new serials -- 'Iswarya Kalasam', 'Brundavanam', 'Srinivasa Kalyanam' and 'Maa Ayana Bangaram' would be broadcast from 3 PM to 5 PM from Monday to Friday, Sailaja Suman, Deputy Director General, Doordarshan Kendra, Hyderabad, told reporters here today.
The serials have been made under 'self-financed commissioning' (SFC) scheme, for the first time in South India.
Replying to a query about competition from private channels, the official said DD is more visible now and that efforts have been made on improving technical aspects and content.
"Now, we are much better technical-wise. When we are available on all platforms in a right mode, it becomes important for the content also to improve. We are focusing more on the content and visibility is also improving. We had to correct ourselves. We are going the right way. We will certainly cope up," she said.
