"Dead' baby springs back to life

A baby girl, declared dead at birth by doctors, was being taken away for cremation when she cried back to life in Howrah district today, leading to tension at the private nursing home where she was delivered.
The baby, born to Rinku Bhagat at Bansal Nursing Home at Golabari in Howrah district, was being carried away by relatives for the last rites when she suddenly cried out, taking the people around by surprise, the police here said.
A crowd gathered in no time in front of the nursing home, which protested against the alleged negligence of the attending doctors, creating tension, the police said.

The police arrived on the scene and brought the situation under control.
