Dec 4 meet to give final shape to land a'sition for powerline

: A high-level meeting to be held on December 4 would give final shape to the land acquisition issue for setting up a 440 kv transmission line between Kundamkulam and Madakkathara near Thrissur.
A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here today.
Action council members, who were objecting to the land acquisition proposals,demanded more time to give a final reply on the recommendations put forward by government, Power Grid Corporation and KSEB regarding compensation to those whose land is to be acquired.
"It is on this basis that the meeting is scheduled for Dec 4 to take final decision on the matter', an official release said here today.

Government has given shape to Rs 340 crore package of the 148 km long line, the release added.
