Delhi heats up as temperature breaches 40 degree mark

The national capital was sizzling today as heat wave-like conditions prevailed across the city with mercury hovering above 40 degree Celsius, making life tough for Delhiites.
According to the MeT Department, the day temperature was recorded two notches above the season's average at 40.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled four notches below normal at 21.3 degrees.
Humidity in air oscillated between 16 and 79 per cent.
According MeT forecast, skies will be partly cloudy tomorrow from noon onwards.
"The skies will be mainly clear in the morning which will turn partly cloudy noon onwards. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 41 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively," said the weatherman.
The day temperature had breached the 40 degree mark on April 19 last.
Yesterday, minimum temperature was recorded at 21.3 deg C while the maximum had settled at 39.5 deg C.
