"NCP is not against the decision, in fact, (party president Sharad) Pawar saheb had welcomed the decision of the government on the first day," said NCP spokesperson Ankush Kakde.
"However, looking at the current plight of the common people, who are subjected to inconvenience and hardships while withdrawing money from the banks and ATMs, it seems that the Centre has completely failed to provide alternate measures to lessen the sufferings of common people," Kakde added.
"We still welcome the government's move against black money, however, we condemn the unpreparedness of the government while handling the situation," said Kakde.
Around 300 workers, including senior party leaders, took part in the protest near auditorium 'Balgandhara Rangamadir'.
