Depressed man immolates self

A 45-year-old man, who was in
depression after amputation of his both legs in an accident, allegedly immolated himself here, police said here today.
Johri Lal lost his legs some 10 years ago in an accident and was wheel-chair ridden.
On Sunday, he poured kerosene and set himself ablaze inside his house at Vidhyadhar Nagar locality, police said.
He was rushed to SMS government hospital by his family members where he succumbed to his burn injuries last night, they said.
"Depression is the cause behind the man taking the extreme step," investigating officer Udai Singh said.
