The romatic action-drama will see Dhanush playing lead character oppsite actress Amala Paul, while Samuthirakani and Saranya Ponvannan play supporting roles.
"Dear fans, press and media, I'm super excited to announce that VIP has been censored with a 'u' certificate and will release on coming 18th," Dhanush tweeted.
'Velaiyilla Pattathari', which releases on July 18, is produced by Dhanush. The 'Kolaveri Di' hitmaker had also lent his voice for three songs in the film.
